Watch now as we shuffle around;

At night I walk a dark avenue
We’re lonely but find shelter in solitude

A new year, and I’m so optimistic,
I’m naive though, thrown back in the system.
Life run by an administration
The Board works to stifle imagination
When will all this bullshit be over?
Passion- rare as a four leaf clover
And I feel so bare yet unclear
How You’ve grown these youthful wasted years

And now we’re told to face this,
An enemy that’s faceless.
Another year now wasted;
A life becomes so tasteless.
We walk around so mindless
We’re taught to behave spineless
We let the facade blind us
It’s the day in the life of a teen

At last, my time here is concluding
Two weeks but I learn its deluding
Four years gone, now four years more
Compliance lest you live poor.
Pressure, write a good application
Waiting, still no clear destination
Goodbye it’s been alright I guess
Grown up now go strive for success

Spent the last 12 years in a cage
Only escaped a few hours a day
Watching all my peers as we come of age
